BAGHDAD, Iraq - Large demonstrations broke out across the country Friday to denounce parliamentary elections that protesters say were rigged in favor of the main religious Shiite coalition. What’s not clear to me is why the United States Government is allowing this nonsense to continue. The only reason we have ever been in Iraq is to promote Democracy. The United States is certainly a shining example of Democracy in action, so why not take a page from our own history book: When an election has obviously been rigged (or when the people who are being allowed to think they are electing someone think it’s been rigged), allow the Supreme Court to decide.

Duh.
