After reading this rant about the tone and presentation of her speechifying, please also read this followup — in which I more or less say hillary was right, just stupid about how she tried to get her point across.
Sen. Hillary Clinton on Monday blasted the Bush administration as “one of the worst” in U.S. history and compared the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to a plantation where dissenting voices are squelched.
Speaking during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event, Clinton also offered an apology to a group of Hurricane Katrina survivors “on behalf of a government that left you behind, that turned its back on you.” Her remarks were met with thunderous applause by a mostly black audience at the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem.
The House “has been run like a plantation, and you know what I’m talking about,” said Clinton, D-N.Y. “It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard.”
“We have a culture of corruption, we have cronyism, we have incompetence,” she said. “I predict to you that this administration will go down in history as one of the worst that has ever governed our country.” (Read more on sfgate.com and see if you can make heads or tales of it)
Yes the Bush administration is criminally corrupt, morally bankrupt, and will be an indelible stain in our history for generations. But comparing political dissent to generations of human slavery… WHAT. THE. FUCK. HILLARY? Couldn’t you do a great and rousing speech about MLK on his birthday instead of trying to pretend you’re a sistah who FEELS the pain with a really REALLY bad metaphor?
She was our next best hope. And her brain is turning to swiss cheese. This is so depressing.

The current Bush Administration is an utter nightmare for the American people in particular and the world in general. The visible proof stares us in the face. *What Hillary Clinton and others of her ilk do not understand is that trading Bush’s disaster for Hillary’s dream of destroying the nuclear family, traditional social values, and the integrity of the United States is no solution. Hillary’s ‘logic’ is similar to the old joke about finding holes in your shirt and cutting out the holes with a pair of scissors.
Hillary’s brain is turning to swiss cheese. Obama’s pressure is throwing her off balance, screaming and crying and making desperate remarks. She can’t handle pressure when things aren’t going her way.
