A Perfect Day in San Francisco with Opera, Mango Mojitos, and BBQ

The weather is stunning. About 80 degrees with a stiff cool breeze to keep me from overheating. My itinerary for the day was a very simple “Go see Opera at Yerba Buena Gardens” at 2pm today. Roy directed this show for the Merola Opera Program.

The way it actually went:

  • Get up very late
  • Turn on TV while cleaning kitchen to discover a Project Runway Season 1 marathon. Become engrossed.
  • Browse web while watching Project Runway. Discover Kathy Griffin is at the Warfield next week, so buy tickets and invite friend.
  • Buy sound effects CD on Amazon and send to favorite podcasters.
  • Park car and find a space to sit while talking to dad on the phone. He kept asking “Is Roy a YOU KNOW… um YOU KNOW…” and I made him say the word “boyfriend” before I reported that he was not, just a good friend. Teehee.
  • Go to concert and hang out with Roy.
  • Stop by Container Store to search for mythical corner laundry hamper. Failed, but found a good box to store incoming mail prior to shredding.
  • Go to store and head home.
  • Make Mango Mojito.
  • Blog.

The rest of the evening will be finishing my house cleaning that has been going on for 2 weeks while watching the rest of Project Runway while I do some curried hamburgers on the grill and have lots more of these yummy mojitos :-D
