In search of a good sparkling rosé…

It was too fucking hot to do anything but drink ice cold something or other… I decided to try to find a yummy rosé, after having had so many tasty wines in France.
I went to K & L Wines and picked up three:

  • Mont Marçal Brut Rosada Reserva Cava ($12.99)
  • Cremant de Bourgogne Rosé, Perle d’Aurore, Louis Bouillot ($11.99)
  • Cerdon du Begey (methode ancestrale) Domain Renardat-Facher ($16.99)

I went for the Mont Marçal first. It’s Spanish, tasty, and too dry for my tastes. The next one I’ll in hale is the Cremant. It’s a tad sweeter, but still a bit too dry (I like candy with a touch of liquor).

It’s cooling off and I seriously doubt I’ll make it through a third bottle, so I’ll review the Cerdon another time :-D
