In a decision that could roil Democratic unity in the new House, Speaker-to-be Nancy Pelosi passed over Rep. Alcee Hastings Tuesday for the chairmanship of the Intelligence Committee.

Critics pointed out that he had been impeached when he was a federal judge and said naming him to such a sensitive post would be a mistake just as the Democrats take over House control pledging reforms.

There was a lot of funny business on both sides of the investigation which has tainted his name. Dirty politics. But I don’t blame Pelosi at all for wanting to start out with as clean a slate as possible. The fewer nasty whispers, the better.

Those products are Bay Area-based.Also no Adobe or Macromedia products. No computers, either, since most run on AMD or Intel. No tax preparation using Intuit products. Today I got the bug up my butt to move all my computer stuff from my house to my basement. I like the new setup (despite having to walk outside, in the rain, to get to it).
A few weeks ago I installed a plugin that shows what I was writing about this day of last year. I was highly amused to see…
New music workstation is a post I wrote talking about how excited I was to move all my stuff around to be more productive yadda yadda.
So it lasted *exactly* one year.
