On June 18th a 13 year old Marin City boy was severely beaten - in the head - with a baseball bat - by another 13 year old boy. Where are kids learning their values/morals these days? Where. Are. Their. Parents? And where are their neighbors? And what are these people thinking? In the '70's, my former husband caught our neighborhood thug - a 12 year old - brazenly keying all the cars on our street in broad daylight. When his parents were approached by the numerous *victims* about restitution, they just shrugged. At the wise old age of 4, my son said, "They ought to put him and his parents in jail and MAKE them raise him!" What a concept! Not just in SF.
